Creating pathways together

POLYNESIAN PAGES ARE COMMITTED TO CREATING SPACES WHERE PASIFIKA STORIES, TALENTS, AND PERSPECTIVES ARE NURTURED AND CELEBRATED. THROUGH EDUCATION, CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT, AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING, OUR PROJECTS AIM TO UPLIFT OUR ARTISTS, STORYTELLERS AND GAMECHANGERS. WHETHER WE’RE RUNNING SCHOOL PROGRAMS, PREPARING YOUTH FOR PERFORMING ARTS PATHWAYS, OR SPOTLIGHTING EXCELLENCE ONLINE, OUR FOCUS REMAINS THE SAME: TO EMPOWER OUR COMMUNITIES AND ENSURE PASIFIKA VOICES ARE NOT ONLY HEARD, BUT VALUED ON EVERY STAGE.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR

ZANDRA AH JAY-MAEPU IS A PASSIONATE PASIFIKA CREATIVE BASED IN CHRISTCHURCH WHO LOVES BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER THROUGH STORYTELLING AND THE ARTS. SHE STARTED POLYNESIAN PAGES TO CELEBRATE PASIFIKA TALENT, SHARE OPPORTUNITIES, AND HELP OTHERS FEEL SEEN IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRY. WHETHER SHE’S SPOTLIGHTING LOCAL ARTISTS OR CHEERING YOU ON IN YOUR CREATIVE JOURNEY, ZANDRA IS FOCUSED ON CONNECTION, COMMUNITY, AND INTEGRITY.

“Polynesian Pages recently worked with our Year 11 students as they began their journey exploring Theatre Aotearoa. Zandra made the content highly accessible, enabling students to connect meaningfully with Pasifika culture in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Her extensive knowledge of the history of Pasifika peoples in Aotearoa enriched the experience, and she created a safe, welcoming space for our students to engage with The Dawn Raids by Oscar Kightley.

Zandra’s strengths as a performer shine through in her teaching. She has a natural ability to connect with young people and support their learning through creative and culturally responsive practice.

I would highly recommend Polynesian Pages to any school looking to enrich their drama or cultural programmes with authenticity, insight, and heart.”
