2026
CHC
Due to a lack of opportunities in Ōtautahi and financial sustainability, many talented artists seek work elsewhere or abandon the arts altogether in general.
By establishing a Pasifika Arts festival that will recur biannually, we will create a platform for local Pasifika artists to grow and shine here. Our initiative aims to inspire, retain, encourage collaborations and nurture Ōtautahi-based Pasifika artists while supporting both emerging and mid-career Pasifika artists from around Aotearoa.
We hope that our tamaiti see themselves reflected on stage and that we foster a space that empowers and uplifts our communities.
Join us in bringing our vision to life by uniting Pasifika artists from all over the motu right here in Ōtautahi, Christchurch!
BRING PASIFIKA ARTS TO YOUR school

Inspire your students through an awesome opportunity to connect with professional Pasifika artists! Nesian Tide Arts Festival invites Christchurch schools to host one of our visiting Pasifika artists for an engaging artist talk or performing arts workshop on Friday 20 November 2026.
